Explore aquatic life at Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada

Take an underwater adventure, while staying dry, at Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada. Get immersed and discover over 20,000 aquatic animals in one place in Toronto.

“Explore the Waters of the World with 20,000 animals and touch exhibits featuring sharks, stingrays and horseshoe crabs,” said Sandra Woloschuk, sales manager for the aquarium. “Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada, located in the heart of downtown Toronto, allows groups of all ages to create their own underwater adventure. Featuring North America’s longest underwater viewing tunnel, this is one thrilling experience you don’t want to miss.”

The aquarium has the longest underwater viewing tunnel in North America, over 1.5 million gallons of water and over 100 interactive displays, including four touch pools. Groups will get up close and personal with several kinds of sea creatures in various touch exhibits.

Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada has 10 galleries, each with a different educational experience. The “Canadian Waters” gallery covers the freshwater creatures and wilderness that can be found throughout Canada. “Waters of the World” is a double exhibit in one tank. It has a saltwater tank within a freshwater tank. In this exhibit, visitors experience a combination of tropical freshwater fish and tropical fish from around the world.

The aquarium has daily dive shows that are interactive and give groups the chance to learn more about the sea animals.

A visit to the aquarium can last two to three hours; time depends on level of interest.

Groups wanting to grab a quick meal or snack have that option. Ripley’s Café serves a variety of hot and cold meals, and there are food kiosks throughout the aquarium.

A motorcoach drop off and pick up zone is available on the north side of Bremner Boulevard. Operators must make arrangements with a group sales representative.
