Canton’s most famed attraction is the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The sports museum presents pro football’s unique story, from its humble beginnings to the most recent Super Bowl.

In addition to the hall of fame, Canton offers many other attractions for groups. This itinerary from the Pro Football Hall of Fame and the Canton Stark County Convention & Visitors Bureau packages the hall of fame with some of the area’s other attractions of special interest to women.

Day One

On a guided 90-minute tour of the National First Ladies’ Library, view themed exhibits about the first ladies of the United States. On display are original clothing, letters, photographs and other artifacts, as well as the restored family home of Ida Saxton McKinley. The library is the only national organization dedicated to educating the public about the lives and contributions of the country’s first ladies.

Interactive and hands-on exhibits allow the group to experience the passion and energy of pro football at the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Groups receive a step-on greeting and 10 percent off purchases in the museum store. Self-guided tours take 3 ½ hours. Volunteers are available to enhance the experience and answer questions.

Discover beautiful stained glass, handcrafted jewelry, unique gifts and hand-blown glass at Studio Arts & Glass, a stained glass factory and gift shop. Take a behind-the-scenes tour and watch masterful artisans create windows. Groups also can get in touch with their creative side and do a craft project led by one of Studio Arts and Glass’s knowledgeable staff members.

Visit Harry London Chocolate/Fannie May Chocolate Factory, the largest chocolate retail store in the Midwest, for a 45-minute guided tour. See how cocoa beans are grown and converted to chocolate and watch candy being made. Visitors can sample fresh chocolates. After the tour, shop in the retail store, which has more than 500 varieties of gourmet chocolates and candies.

Hartville MarketPlace & Flea Market is a shopping experience that must be seen to be believed. The MarketPlace is a pristine two-story building, heated and air conditioned, with more than 110 individually owned shops featuring a variety of unique treasures and goods. The outdoor flea market consists of 800 spaces loaded with bargains. All registered groups receive a complimentary gift and shopping voucher with discounts for the businesses.
